Ich bin Soziologin und forsche zu Pflege, Alter(n) und Gesundheit an den Überschneidungspunkten von Sozialgerontologie, Pflegewissenschaft, Public Health und Ethik. Ich arbeite mit qualitativen Methoden. Besonders interessieren mich partizipative Zugänge und kunstbasierte Methoden. Beim International Journal of Care and Caring bin ich Associate Editor.

Ich bin wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin und Projektleiterin am Europäischen Zentrum für Wohlfahrtspolitik und Sozialforschung in Wien wo ich Forschungsprojekte zu Themen wie soziale Innovation in der Langzeitpflege in vergleichender Perspektive, integrierte Versorgung, personenzentrierte und kultursensible Pflege für ältere Migrant:innen, An- und Zugehörigenpflege, Erfahrungen des Pflegens und Gepflegt-werdens, Entwicklung von Langzeitpflegesystemen, Konzepte des guten Alter(n)s durchführe. Bevor ich an das Europäische Zentrum kam, war ich Postdoc am Institut für Ethik und Geschichte der Medizin der Universität Tübingen (Deutschland).

Es ist mir wichtig, Forschung nicht nur in der Wissenschaft sondern über die wissenschaftliche Community hinaus mit jenen die involviert, betroffen oder einfach an einem Thema interessiert sind zu diskutieren. Zwei Dinge zeichnen meine Lehre aus: Mein Enthusiasmus für die wissenschaftlichen Fragen zu denen ich forsche und meine Freude am gemeinsam arbeiten mit anderen Menschen. Ich bin auch in der Lehre des wissenschaftlichen Schreibens ausgebildet und habe 2022 die Konferenz Schreibend denken und forschen – Jahrestagung der Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliches Schreiben an der Universität Wien mitorganisiert.
